6 of my Fave Service-Based Small Biz Gal Pals

It's the most wonderful day of the year... Galentine's! The day we take dedicated time to give our gal pals their flowers - tell them how important they are to us, hype them up, shout from the rooftops about how amazing they are...

...so consider this my rooftop!

I'm a huge supporter of outsourcing and #SupportingSmallBiz, and I've had the great privilege of working with many incredible women as I've built Shiny Happy. I've forged incredibly valuable friendships and working relationships by both collaborating and hiring them to help me with the day-to-day running of my business and/or my overall vision. It's been a dream!

So, if you're fed up with 'doing it all' in your business, I couldn't recommend working with one of these wonderful women enough.

Have you got your roses ready? Let's meet my wonderful biz pals:

Laura Hughes - Zig Zag (Brand Design)

Laura worked on my new branding - isn't it great!? Her illustration style is fantastic and she brings such unbridled joy into her brand design. Laura also has a great design process - I felt informed during the whole thing and she really takes care to listen to what you want!

Sophie Griffiths - Marketing & Meta Ads Strategist

If you've thought about investing in Meta ads, Sophie right here is your gal! She specialises in helping you to take control of your business with advertising so that your marketing ticks away in the background while you do... whatever you want. Bliss! She also has a brilliant podcast - you can find my episode with Sophie here.

Jess Bruno - Content Strategist & Coach

Jess is a community wizard! She really knows how to bring a group of people together online and help you achieve your social media (and business) goals. Jess has a few different offerings, but the one I'm part of is Content Club, a monthly newsletter with content ideas and a weekly online catchup for accountability.

Vicky Critoph - Happy Freelancers (Community & Retreats)

I met Vicky in 2023 and her outlook on work/life balance and energy has been so wonderfully contagious from the get-go! If you're looking for a fun, social freelance community with gorgeous retreats abroad, you really need to join her community. I went on her co-working retreat to Barcelona last year and it was so great to connect with other freelancers in a non-traditional, playful way.

Sofaya Hussein - Sofaya Online (Small Biz Strategy & Social Support)

Sofaya, along with her fantastic colleague Annie, has been working with me on my marketing for, well, years now! We work together month-to-month, and they focus on everything from writing captions and designing graphics to creating an email marketing strategy or helping me refine my services. Working with them has been one of the best investments I've made for my business!

Charlotte Young - Copper Moth (Brand Design)

I've collaborated with Charlotte on a few projects now, particularly when she's finished working on a new brand and her client needs their website happified to match! I just love Charlotte's style and all the elements she includes in her branding work - it makes my job a piece of cake to bring the client's website to life!

I hope this serves as a reminder to let the women in your life know what they mean to you and to invest in outsourcing for your benefit! And of course, Galentine's is every day really, so make sure to shout about your own gal pals at every given opportunity.
